Calm Haven Mental Health

Jana Ramchander, LCSW

There are moments in life when we all feel overwhelmed, stuck, or simply in need of someone who will truly listen. If you’ve found your way here, you’ve already taken a meaningful step — and that takes real courage.

I work with children (ages 12 and up), young adults, women, and families navigating some of life’s most difficult terrain: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, major life transitions, and trauma. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, walking alongside parents, and building connections with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. My approach is warm, grounded, and deeply collaborative. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),  Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Strength-Based and Culturally Responsive frameworks. The heart of everything I do is a trauma-informed, client-centered philosophy that honors your story exactly as it is.

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a true partnership — a space where you can speak freely, be heard without judgment, and begin to move toward a life that feels more balanced, more hopeful, and more like you. Whether you’re in the middle of a crisis, quietly struggling, or simply ready for something to shift, I’m here for all of it. I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Jana Ramchander, LCSW provides therapy for teens (12+), young adults, women, and families navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life transitions virtually throughout Texas. She takes a warm, collaborative approach, drawing from CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based, culturally responsive care to support meaningful and lasting change.
