At Calm Haven Mental Health, we want therapy to feel accessible and stress-free; including when it comes to payment.
We’re currently in-network with the following insurance plans:
• Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX)
• HighwayCare Health (HCH)
• Sendero Health Plans
• Baylor Scott & White Health Plan (BSW)
• Oscar Health Plan
• Texas Exchange Plans
• United Behavioral Health (UBH) / Optum
• Aetna
• Cigna
• Curative Health
If your plan isn’t listed, you may still be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement depending on your benefits. We’re happy to provide a superbill to make that process simple.
You can also choose to self-pay if you prefer more privacy or flexibility in your care, and many clients use HSA or FSA cards for sessions.
At Calm Haven Mental Health, we provide therapy and coaching services designed to meet you where you are; whether you’re healing from the past, navigating major life transitions, or working toward emotional clarity.
Our services include:
• Individual Therapy: One-on-one sessions for teens and adults focusing on trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, and life changes.
• Family Therapy: Support for families navigating communication challenges, blended family stress, and transitions such as separation or loss.
• Divorce Coaching: Practical and emotional support for individuals in high-conflict or high-stress separations, helping you plan safely, stay grounded, and move forward with clarity.
• Immigration Evaluations: Compassionate, trauma-informed psychological assessments for hardship waivers, VAWA, asylum, and U-visa cases.
Each service is offered through a trauma-informed, person-centered lens — whether you meet with us in-person in Round Rock, TX, or virtually anywhere in Texas.
Scheduling a session is simple. You can:
• Click the “Book a Session” button at the top of this page to schedule online.
• Call us directly at (512) 256-3770 to speak with our team.
• Email us at contact@calmhavenmentalhealth.com if you’d like help finding a time or have questions before scheduling.
We offer both in-person sessions in Round Rock, TX, and secure telehealth appointments anywhere in Texas.
If you’re new to therapy or unsure which service fits your needs, you’re welcome to start with a free 15-minute consultation to see if Calm Haven feels like the right fit for you.
We accept cash, credit cards, and checks, all due at the time of service. Many clients also choose to use HSA or FSA cards for their sessions.
If you have any questions about payment or billing, we’re always here to help you navigate the process with ease.
To honor both your time and ours, we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice — or missed appointments — will incur a $170 fee, billed at the time of the scheduled session.
We understand that emergencies happen. If something unexpected comes up, please reach out as soon as possible so we can support you and make any necessary arrangements.
Yes! Calm Haven Mental Health offers both in-person sessions in Round Rock, TX and virtual therapy sessions for clients anywhere in Texas.
Virtual therapy can be a great option if you prefer the comfort of your own space or have a busy schedule. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform to ensure your privacy and confidentiality.
Because coverage for virtual therapy can vary by insurance plan, we encourage you to contact your insurance provider to confirm that telehealth sessions are included in your benefits.
If you have any questions or concerns about your bill, our billing team is here to help. Please feel free to contact our billing department at (689) 225-3503, and someone will be happy to assist you.
Your first session at Calm Haven Mental Health is all about building connection and understanding your story. We’ll spend time getting to know you — not just your current struggles, but the experiences that have shaped who you are today.
This initial session focuses on building rapport and taking a detailed history of your life, including significant relationships, stressors, strengths, and goals for therapy. Together, we’ll begin identifying the patterns and experiences that may influence how you think, feel, and cope now.
There’s no pressure to share everything at once — this is a space to move at your own pace, ask questions, and start feeling what safety and support can look like in therapy.
That’s a great question — and one many people ask when they’re ready for change but aren’t sure where to begin.
Therapy and coaching both provide support, but they serve different purposes:
• Therapy focuses on healing. It helps you explore how past experiences, trauma, or ongoing emotional struggles impact your current life. Together, we work to process those experiences, develop coping tools, and build emotional regulation skills. Therapy can address concerns like anxiety, depression, PTSD, or grief, and it is covered by insurance when medically necessary.
• Coaching focuses on growth and action. It’s best for people who are emotionally stable but want guidance through a specific transition — such as a divorce, career change, or major life goal. Coaching is solution-focused, goal-driven, and forward-looking. It is not covered by insurance, as it’s not considered a clinical mental health service.
If you’re unsure which fits your needs, we can talk it through during a free 15-minute consultation and find the best fit for your goals.
Yes absolutely. Therapy works best when there’s a strong connection and sense of trust between you and your therapist. We understand that not every therapist is the right fit for every client, and that’s completely okay.
If you ever feel that a different approach or provider might better meet your needs, we ask that you discuss this with Jennifer Hodges, LCSW-S, the owner and founder of Calm Haven Mental Health. Jennifer will work with you to understand your experience and help identify a provider who may be a better fit for your goals and comfort level.
Our goal is always to ensure you feel supported, respected, and empowered throughout your care.
You’re always welcome to pause or end therapy at any time. Your needs, capacity, and circumstances can shift, and it’s completely okay to take breaks or step away when needed.
We gently encourage you to talk with your therapist before pausing or ending services. This allows us to support you through the transition, answer questions, and help you wrap up in a way that feels steady and intentional.
You’re always welcome to return to therapy when you feel ready. We’ll be here to support you whenever the time is right.
Mental health providers hold different licenses based on their training and level of independence. Here’s a simple breakdown:
• LMSW — Master’s-level social worker who provides therapy under supervision while working toward independent licensure.
• LCSW / LCSW-S — Independently licensed clinical social workers; an LCSW-S is approved to supervise LMSWs.
• LPC-A — Master’s-level Licensed Professional Counselor Associate practicing under supervision.
• LPC / LPC-S — Independently licensed counselors; an LPC-S can provide supervision to LPC-Associates.
• LMFT-A — Master’s-level Marriage and Family Therapist Associate practicing under supervision.
• LMFT / LMFT-S — Independently licensed family and couples therapists; an LMFT-S is approved to supervise LMFT-Associates.
• Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) — Doctoral-level clinician who provides therapy and psychological testing (typically does not prescribe medication).
• Psychiatrist (MD/DO) — Medical doctor who diagnoses mental health conditions and can prescribe medication.
If you ever need help understanding what these credentials mean for your care, we’re here to guide you.
The fee for an immigration evaluation at Calm Haven Mental Health is $1,100, which includes up to two hours of clinical assessment and documentation.
This covers:
• A detailed clinical interview (typically conducted via secure telehealth or in-person)
• Review of supporting documentation
• Completion of a comprehensive written evaluation tailored to your immigration case needs
We understand that these evaluations are often part of deeply personal and time-sensitive situations. Our approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and professional, ensuring your story is heard and presented clearly.
Please note: Immigration evaluations are not covered by insurance and must be paid out of pocket at the time of service.
Hi! I'm Jennifer. It can be difficult to reach out for help and even harder to find a therapist you are really able to connect with. I'm so glad you are taking a chance! I am passionate about helping clients reach their goals, improve their lives, and overcome hang-ups that keep them from moving forward. I specialize in treating family of origin, grief, trauma, depression disorders, and anxiety disorders. I love working with teens and adults! I offer a free 15-minute consult, so feel free to head over to our website and schedule a virtual consultation! I also provide Immigration Evaluations.
I use a client-centered approach to therapy, working with my clients to figure out what kind of treatment works best for them. I use a variety of treatment techniques, such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, Brainspotting, mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy to assist clients in gaining skills that they can use throughout their lives.
I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for healing.
I believe that there is always room to grow and learn, and I work to help my clients leave each session having learned something or having some new insight. I meet clients where they're at and use harm-reduction strategies to help individuals reach their mental health goals.
